Looking for his and her gifts that are just a little bit more unique and special? Here at Perth Upmarket, we don’t just say we are Perth’s biggest and best design market.
We practice that too through our careful curation of locally made or designed products and produce that you won’t easily find in your local shops (and each comes with a beautiful story of its own!).
This Christmas, make gift giving for him and her that extra beautiful with some of our suggested ideas while supporting local WA small businesses and producers.
Gifts for her!

Wilai: Win Carney is the designer behind Wilai and draws on both her Thai background and her Australian lifestyle in her designs.
Established in 2009, Win has concentrated on designing clothes with natural fibres, such as cotton and linen, which look great and are comfortable to wear.
Wilai’s comfortable and flowing pants, tops, dresses and skirts have creatively unique patterns that you can easily pair with your own wardrobe favourites.
Gifts for him!
(Danile)Ink: Local designer, Daniel, didn’t set out to be a t-shirt designer. He really wanted to be a comedian but he’d done a couple of illustrations in art class, screen printed one on a tee and his friends wanted one.
That set Daniel and his Dad off discussing how this could be an opportunity, and after quite a few nights, Daniel Ink was born!
A family business, a business with heart (Daniel donates part proceeds of his sales for The Centre for Cerebral Palsy, which he also has and is an inspirational ambassador), and definitely a local business employing friends and creatives.
Unique and full of character illustrations on Daniel Ink hoodies, T-shirts and caps are ready for your loved ones.
Sin Gin Distillery: Sin Gin Distillery is a nano (this means really small) award winning distillery that started at The Murray Hotel in West Perth, Western Australia in 2016 and moved to a purpose built distillery in the Swan Settlers Market in the Swan Valley in 2019.
Mark Harris, former air-traffic controller now distiller, has been creating stunning spirits full of local and international botanicals. He’s created seven different gins for the Seven Deadly Sins Range, Australian Aquavit, Original Sin and Perth Pink, the flagship of the range.
Some cool and refreshing Sin Gin and Tonic this summer? Why not indulge… it’s the festive and silly season after all.
