Shenae Lange — turning her passion into her career
Art has always been a passionate hobby for Shenae Lange, and in June last year she decided to turn that hobby into a career: she resigned from her job and started her small business. Shenae makes beautiful unique resin art and more, inspired by the stunning state of Western Australia.
Shenae’s goal is to do something she loves doing, and to share that with others. She once read a quote saying “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”, so she did exactly that: she started by getting an ABN, and then grew her business by advertising through social media including Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook. She created a website to enable people to view and purchase her products. With the help from her partner, friends and family, she was able to start spreading the word and getting her name out to the public.
Perfect Gift for Mother’s Day
Shenae makes her products by using a food grade epoxy resin which she pours onto various surfaces. Her aim is always to create something beautiful and eye-catching that will look great in all homes.
Shenae makes everything from wall art to serving boards; these items make wonderful and beautiful gifts to loved ones. They are especially great for mothers, who deserve something locally made this coming Mother’s Day.
Making the Move to Happiness and Fulfillment
Shenae works full time on her small business, coming up with wonderful new products and promoting her brand. She wasn't fulfilled in her previous job and realised that she needed to take a leap of faith and start doing what made her happy. She used to scribble down art ideas in her notebook and in her free time scrolled through videos on YouTube of resin art. When the time eventually came for her to choose between staying unhappy or leave and follow her passion… the choice was an obvious one.
The Future is a Big Bright Art Studio
Shenae wishes to grow her small business; her ultimate dream is to one day have her own art studio with plenty of space to create, more art and new products to add to the current collection. Shenae loves how the Perth Upmarket is community based and is focused on helping small businesses showcase their products to the locals.
