Two Birds Dehydration: Healthy, Beautiful and Delicious Dried Fruits 

Rita and Rebecca Pittorino are the brains, hearts, and hands behind the brand Two Birds Dehydration. Their handmade dehydrated fruit is both beautiful and delicious, managing to be a healthy snack and a stunning cocktail/mocktail garnish. They also make infusion bottles, fruit sugars, salts with dehydrated limes, lemon and chilli, and chocolate coated dehydrated fruit.

The Two Birds Dehydration story all started from a desire to create healthy snacks for their children. Their product is 100% locally sourced, 100% natural, additive free, preservative free and vegan!
 
Each piece of fruit is handpicked from their local greengrocer, hand sliced and then their 4 dehydrators work their magic! The dehydration process can take over 20 hours, so patience is a must in delivering this premium quality product. The “birds” Rita and Rebecca are proud to only use local produce, thereby supporting our West Australian suppliers and farmers.

Two Birds Dehydration is a side project for Rita and Rebecca, but it is one that brings so much joy to their lives, especially when given the opportunity to meet like minded people. They hope that one day the reach of their product will expand into school canteens as a healthy snack alternative, and to also be available for purchase and/or utilised by local small businesses.

The greatest challenge they have faced as business owners is trying to keep their prices on par with bigger corporate companies that have better buying power – an issue a lot of small businesses face, which is why we always encourage you to support local.

Rita and Rebecca always enjoy being part of Perth Upmarket as a retailer because they love the diversity of the many talented artisans and the beautiful people they get to meet on market day.
